History of the Jawas Lodge
In 2003 the owners embarked on the search for a broad property, which would destine to the cultivation of a prodigious seed called sacha inchi also known as Inca peanuts, because it is rich in Omega 3 essential oils. Would find a paradise of 12 hectares, located on the shores of the beautiful Blue Lagoon, in the village of Sauce department of San Martín.
The property with very fertile land was used in its beginnings as seedbed of sacha inchi, and this plant of great nutritional value grew with success that its first harvests were distributed to different parts of the country. From this harvest the first bottle of oil was extracted, which was sold under the Omega Life brand.
In 2011 the beauty and candor of this place had already conquered the hearts of its owners, thus becoming the place of their main residence. Little by little the initial project was left aside and the creation of a place that "sought to connect the man with the nature" took place.
During the construction there was something curious, and they found a wild plant with large green leaves, which was born naturally and everywhere, even inside a tambo. The amazing thing was its resistance because when trying to prune it or to cut it it reborn faster and stronger. It was for these qualities that they decided to preserve it, soon this plant would become a wonderful tree, of a very fine wood and that at the same time gave fruits that attracted to diverse exotic birds of the zone, this firm and persistent tree is known like Jawa The Huito.
Today the property has a forest of Jawa trees providing incredible ecosystem and attracting wildlife. It is in honor of this great tree that today the place takes the name of Las Jawas Lodge.
